From childhood, Gohar has had a burning passion for hammam buckets. She uses them to carry things around. They are so practical! They can carry so much: a book, some water, dates and apricots… Suspended by a string, she carries her bucket on her shoulder.
One summer, Gohar was walking back from the river when she bumped into her great-aunt Lusine, a famous seamstress, on a visit from Jerusalem. When Lusine saw Gohar carrying her hammam bucket, she immediately fashioned a bag in the same shape using the first fabric she found, a hammam towel.
