Another afternoon spent at the local hammam. Gohar is now in the street, it’s warm outside, the blazing sun shines on her black hair. Gohar’s aunt, Mariam, braided her hair, she can smell the rose perfume evaporating from it. The way back home is long, Gohar takes out of her bucket her new hat. Last week, to avoid a sun burn, she covered her head with a towel. That’s how the idea of this beautiful hat came out to her, a hat made of hammam towel and fresh linen. The problem with hats, is that they can be blow-off by the wind. As she adores the freshness of ceramic, she made a flange with clay pearls. Thanks to the flange, the hat stay on her head and keeps her fresh.
